Further down the beach, Vanessa was having a slightly less cheery morning. She was sitting at a beachside café flicking through the paper to the horoscope section, something to which she had an irrationally slavish devotion, rendered slightly pointless as the papers always arrived a day late in their little corner of Greece. Apparently, love had come yesterday in the form of the colour blue – which, looking around, didn’t exactly narrow things down.
